Barry Rivelis named as one of BC’s 500 most influential business leaders

We are proud to announce that Barry Rivelis, President, PBC Solutions, is named to Business in Vancouver’s 2025 BC500 list for his work in changing how health care is delivered in BC.

This is the third time Barry has been included on the BC500 list since its inaugural year in 2019.

Fittingly, Barry is being honoured as a changemaker—individuals who have sought out change or are leading organizations and initiatives that are pushing business to change for the better. His career exemplifies how he runs towards opportunities that help to transform how health care is delivered in this province (and beyond).

His career has spanned the creation and leadership of two health care companies—PBC Solutions and TELUS Health—and designed and executed complex multi-organizational, enterprise-wide transformations in BC’s health care system. Business in Vancouver calls him a translator, embracing business challenges, applying tech and finding solutions. For anyone who has known him or worked with him over the past 20 years, it is well established that Barry is passionate about improving the health and well-being of Canadians through digital health and data driven insights.

BC500 features business leaders who have a notable impact on B.C.’s communities, industries and economy. They are visionaries, innovators and trailblazers. They embody the values of modern leadership: engagement, trust, corporate citizenship, inclusion and innovation. Some of them are household names; some of them are well known within their industries. All of them influence life and business in British Columbia.

This year's 144-page magazine categorizes leaders by aspects of influence and success, such as advocacy, knowledge, service, impact and transformation. Those included were asked to select broad industry and business categories to which they contribute — such as real estate, economic development or professional services.
